Turkey-based Energy & Power Conversion (EPC) showcased its industrial grade UPS and rectifiers for the oil and gas sector

Manufactured in Istanbul, the focused solutions include industrial grade UPS from 1 kVA up to 1,000 kVA; single phase out from 1kVA up to 500kVA and three phase in and out up to 1,000kVA. Meanwhile, the rectifiers start from 10A up to 10,000A. The rectifiers aid in real energy saving due to high input power factor. EPC also manufactures voltage stabilisers, both military and commercial marine grade.

Speaking with Oil Review Middle East at ADIPEC 2017 in Abu Dhabi last week, Ertuğrul Sözmen, general manager at EPC, said that the company produces tailor-made solutions for the oil and gas sector for the global market at a competitive price. “In the last few years we have seen the petrol prices go down and there is an urgency to save costs. Besides UPS and rectifiers, the company also has a 20MW power-generating ship that is linked to the electricity grid of towns and cities. The portable ship moves to areas that have electricity deficit within Turkey and the ship offers a short-term boost to power output.
